Simpson-Pirie, who will bring over 20 years’ experience in cyber security and managed services, will lead the technology strategy at Cyberfort, as well as developing products and services, with an emphasis on cyber security for customers.

The new recruit at Cyberfort previously served as Portfolio CTO of LDC, Lloyd’s Banking Group’s private equity arm, leading commercial technology transformation. Prior to this, he was CTO at Zurich Insurance.

“Cyberfort is an exciting and growing organisation,” said Simpson-Pirie. “The business is proving to be a disruptive force in a challenging and ever-changing threat landscape.

“There is a huge amount of potential to explore and I’m looking forward to being part of the journey.”

Andy Hague, CEO of Cyberfort, added: “We’re delighted to have Andy join the team. His passion for technology and cyber security aligns perfectly to the values Cyberfort was founded on, and his experience will be invaluable to ensure we have the very best technology to help the company scale and grow.

“Cyberfort is on its way to becoming a standout player in cyber security, so it’s great to have someone of Andy’s calibre on board to lead our cyber and business strategy.”

Founded in the summer of 2019, UK cyber security firm Cyberfort currently has over 30 years’ collective experience and expertise, and the company has five offices around the country.

The UK department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) released a report last month that found an increase in cyber security employment.
