Bone to head Yealink business unit

Unified Communications

Warren Bone has been appointed Head of the Yealink business unit to spearhead continued growth of its UC and collaboration solutions, spanning desk phones, audio conferencing and video-based technologies across the country.

Warren benefits from a 25-year comms career and takes-up the position from Panasonic where for the last nine years he was Distribution Sales Manager across the UK and Ireland. He is pledging to develop closer partnerships to further strengthen the relationship between vendor, distributors and resellers.

“Clearly the brand is huge and has gained massive global traction. I’m a great believer in the strength of the brand. The market is awash with the product but you need the strength to stand out from the competition,” he emphasised.

“The industry is going through a period of change, from traditional on-premise equipment to more cloud-based remote solutions. We’ve got to communicate and give the channel the confidence to make that transition with us. It’s not about inflicting technology on them but working with them in a productive way. It’s about developing a partnership. It’s no longer a vendor reseller relationship it’s a partnership and I think that is key.”

Reinforcing its number one status in the global open SIP desktop phone shipments arena, Yealink’s success is based on an ethos of compelling price/performance value, superior customer service and strong brand equity.

Warren concluded: “Yealink delivers best-in-class, high-quality, feature-rich, and easy-to-use products to improve collaboration efficiency and productivity. For instance, it is renowned for its Microsoft Teams certified devices, help end-users realise the vision of intelligent communications.

“Now there is an expectation that when products are being developed there’s full integration. Even if someone isn’t looking at Teams today they want to buy with confidence that it’s going to be there tomorrow, ready when business decisions are made further down the line.

“With a broad, high-quality, yet cost-effective product portfolio as well as fast and effective technical support, Yealink has successfully established itself among the leading brands in the global IP endpoint market and is well-positioned to leverage its strength for continued success.”
