Olive Communications, one of the market-leading solutions for cloud telephony and UC, recently announced that it had achieved significant growth this financial year. The full-year financial results from the company indicate a massive 48% growth in cloud revenue.
This BGF-backed brand has earned a number of impressive contracts in 2019, including new collaborations with the Yorkshire Building Society, as well as leading retailers. Since the brand’s launch in 2003, Olive Communications has built on its roots as the second-largest strategy partner of Vodafone technology, and as a provider of market-leading mobile service. Today, Olive Comms offers a full suite of communication solutions, including access to data, broadband, and mobile solutions, as well as contact centre support, voice, and unified communications.
Celebrating Excellent Results with Olive
Olive’s accounts up to January 2019 has shown a significant and continued growth in profitability and cash flow, particularly in the growing cloud sector.
The EBITDA for the brand has risen 43% to £2.1 million on revenues reduced by 7.6% as a consequence of expanding pressures in the mobile world, such as increasing EU roaming charges and changing mobile network operator tariffs. Cloud revenues, including the managed services solution provided by Olive in unified comms, mobile, contact centre, Microsoft, and cyber services, continue to show ongoing growth.
The significant growth of the cloud segment of the business has driven improvement of 3% in gross margins to approximately 44.2% according to Olive’s latest reports, while gross profit has fallen by less than 1%. Operating cash flow of around £3.8 million was achieved this year, representing a 178% conversion of EBITDA, thanks to positive working capital changes, a modest £296k of CapEX, and funding £1.1 million of interest.
The CFO at Olive Communications, Brent Morris, said that the cloud services for the brand are currently going from one strength to the next, providing consistently high revenues as well as fantastic implementation and project revenues.
Greater Opportunities in the Cloud
This year, Olive has achieved a range of positive outcomes, including the opening of a new Australian location to support a Global Cloud managed service platform with 24/7 customer service. Additionally, similar plans are underway for North America. CEO of Olive Communications, Martin Flick, has said that this is an exciting time for the company. As revenue continues to rise, Olive is ready to embark on a powerful period of growth, both in the UK and worldwide.
