Ultima welcomes former BT exec as new CFO
Ultima Business Solutions has appointed former BT exec Tamsin Ashmore as its new CFO.
Ashmore was most recently chief financial officer at the Jamie Oliver Restaurant Group and prior to that held financial director positions at Technicolor, BT Business Services and Merlin Entertainments, according to her LinkedIn profile.
"Tamsin brings with her strong experience in managing significant business transformation across different sectors, not just technology," said Ultima CEO Scott Dodds.
"As Ultima embarks on a period of intense growth, backed by Apse Capital, Tamsin's role will be to help us deliver commercially on the new products and services we are offering customers to advance them on their automation and digital transformation journeys."
Private equity firm Apse Capital took a majority stake in Ultima earlier this year, marking the first time the company has taken on outside investment since it was founded in 1990.
At the time, Dodds told CRN that the investment will be used to scale.
Ashmore added that she is excited about "joining a business on the cusp of great change".
"My experience at Technicolor, where I was helping turn awesome visual effects technology into commercially viable products, will help Ultima as we look to innovate and grow our automation products and services," she stated.
"I'm also keen to use my experience to help develop the finance team at Ultima so that it becomes an integral part of the business helping to connect the dots and enable everyone in the business to think commercially."
