Pulsant, a leading UK provider of regional datacentre services, colocation, workplace recovery and managed cloud, has named Rob Coupland as its new CEO. In his role, Coupland will continue to strengthen Pulsant’s position in the market and maintain the company’s focus on enabling customer transformation and growth, as well as improving its quality of service and support.
Coupland has a wealth of leadership experience in the telecommunications, datacentre and cloud managed services markets, and most recently was managing director EMEA at Digital Realty. Prior to that, Coupland spent 10 years at Telecity Group in a variety of roles, including COO and MD. In his role as COO, Coupland led the company’s datacentre expansion programme and significantly grew the business. Whilst at Telecity he worked closely with Pulsant’s CFO, Brad Petzer.
“It is an excellent time to join Pulsant as the company continues to grow and demonstrate its leadership in the datacentre market. I am honoured to lead the business as it continues its expansion journey and delivers a world-class service to both existing and future customers. I am excited by the opportunity and look forward to working with the dedicated, professional and expert team at Pulsant,” says Rob Coupland.
He replaces Niclas Sanfridsson who has successfully helmed the business for the past two years and is stepping down to pursue other business interests.
Niclas Sanfridsson says: “I am proud of what we have achieved at Pulsant over the past two years. As we move into the next phase of the business’ evolution, Rob’s extensive leadership and industry experience will prove invaluable in driving the company forward.”
Michael Tobin, Pulsant’s Chairman, says: “I would like to thank Niclas for his valuable contribution over the past two years and wish him well in his future endeavours. I look forward to working with Rob alongside Brad again as we deliver on the Group’s strategy.”
Coupland will assume his position with Pulsant on 28 October 2019.
