AdEPT Technology appoints former Gamma Communications COO as a non-executive director

AdEPT Technology Group PLC has appointed Richard Bligh, the former chief operating officer of Gamma Communications PLC as a non-executive director of the Company with immediate effect and named a chief operating officer.
The AIM-listed independent provider of managed services for IT, unified communications, connectivity, voice and cloud services noted that, during his 13 years with Gamma, Bligh was instrumental in building the company’s market capitalisation up to over £1bn.
It said his knowledge of the UK technology market, and how to develop businesses, will be a great asset to AdEPT.
Ian Fishwick, AdEPT’s chairman said, "We are delighted that someone with Richard's wealth of experience in the UK technology space is joining AdEPT. Richard's detailed knowledge and insight of the converging communications and IT markets will provide significant value to the Company.
“Through our communications sector focus I have known Richard for a number of years and on behalf of the Board I would like to welcome Richard to the AdEPT team."
Bligh commented: "I am delighted to be given the opportunity to join the board at AdEPT.
“The development of the Group to one of the UK leading managed service providers, across particularly the last 4 years, gives an excellent platform for future growth to which I believe that I can add value."
Chief operating officer also appointed
The company also announced the appointment of Andy Lovett to its senior management team, as its chief operating officer.
The group said Lovett is hugely experienced in running the operational side of businesses spanning; software development, IT outsourcing, and mission-critical client projects., having recently worked for Banking software company DPR and global outsourcer Xchanging.
