Paul Clark leads combined Plantronics and Polycom business in EMEA
Plantronics has announced that Paul Clark will be expanding his role to oversee both Plantronics and Polycom sales teams as senior vice president – Europe, Middle East and Africa.
He will manage the joint sales business, spanning voice, video, content, and cloud solutions for customers as they work, share, collaborate, and play. The company says this uniquely positions it to meet market needs for “easier and more consistent communication and collaboration experiences”.
“Paul Clark’s industry and business management experience makes him ideal to head up the combined sales business for Plantronics and Polycom in EMEA. He will bring standardisation to sales, which will ensure we meet or exceed all of our partners and customers expectations,” said Jeff Loebbaka, executive vice president of global sales, Plantronics.
“The industry is constantly evolving, and the strength in our portfolio needs the right structure in place at a critical time when customers demand high-quality audio and video solutions that are easy to buy, use and manage.”
Clark added: “It’s an exciting time to be in the UC and collaboration industry. With the growth of new workspaces and dispersed collaboration showing no signs of abating, there are huge opportunities for us, our partners and end users.
“The combination of Plantronics and Polycom gives us one of the largest portfolio of communications devices with a breadth of capabilities to meet our customers’ needs. We are here to tame the communication chaos and enable people to just focus on what they need to be doing, by delivering easy, intuitive and consistent experiences for people connecting from any device, location or UC cloud platform.”
Clark has been with Plantronics for nearly 25 years, holding the position of EMEA marketing director for the first 10 years, and then overseeing European product management before moving into various sales leadership roles.
In early 2016, Clark was promoted to be managing director of Plantronics Europe and Africa. Over his career at Plantronics, he launched the first reseller programme, took Plantronics into the retail market, and was an early champion on the development of wireless headset – a significant contributor to Plantronics business growth.
Plantronics and Polycom now offer integrated solutions that span headsets, software, desk phones, audio and video conferencing, and cloud services.
