NTT Communications Corporation, the ICT solutions and international communications business within the NTT Group, announced this week that Clive Hamilton has been appointed as the new Managing Director of its fully owned subsidiary NTT Europe. He will start in this new role on 1st February 2019.
Clive has been with NTT Europe for 13 years in various roles including VP Network Services, EMEA managing the European network business, with full P&L responsibility. Appointed into the role of Chief Commercial Officer at NTT Europe in January 2017, Clive is also a member of NTT Europe’s Board of Directors.
This appointment follows the recent announcements made by NTT Group CEO Jun Sawada explaining that he will be creating a single new global company that combines the assets, resources and capabilities across NTT Communications, Dimension Data and NTT Security.
As Managing Director, NTT Europe, Clive will be tasked with managing the company’s transition into this new combined organisation. He will also continue with his current duties as Chief Commercial Officer.
Clive brings a wealth of over 20 years customer-facing commercial and engineering experience in the ICT and Telecommunications sectors into the role. His leadership and strategic boardroom capability will help NTT Group realize the potential of their new global strategy in Europe.
Clive Hamilton said, “I am honored and excited to be appointed into this role at a time that we are creating this new global entity. I look forward to working with my colleagues in Europe and across the group of companies to continue our momentum and create a new company that creates new value and increases our presence in global markets. My goal is to support the integration of our people's diverse talents, skills, and management experience and respond to client’s increasing demand for meaningful digital transformation solutions.”
Clive succeeds Monte Davis – NTT Europe’s current Managing Director – who will be stepping down from this role on February 1st 2019. Mr. Davis will be staying on in the group as an advisor to support Clive and other parts of the organization during this period of transition.
Monte Davis said, “I am delighted with this appointment. In appointing Clive, NTT Communications has allowed us to deliver continuity to our customers, our teams, and our organisation. Clive has been part of the senior leadership team in Europe for over 8 years. Since my appointment, he has been my number two – my trusted advisor and sounding board. As a result, he is perfectly positioned to lead the organisation during this transition period.”
