Damovo appoints new CEO following PE takeover

Unified communication news

Paul Comerford has been appointed as Damovo's new CEO, four months after a major boardroom overhaul saw former CEO Glen Williams, executive chairman Matthew Riley and CFO Stuart Hall simultaneously leave the business.

The mass departure of management execs followed the Brussels-based communications integrator being snapped up by new US private equity owner Eli Global.

In a statement, Damovo said that interim CEO Carl Mühlner had decided to "leave for health reasons".

Comerford was formerly Damovo's COO, having joined the firm 11 years ago. Before that, he worked at Unisys and BT Global Services.

Commenting on his appointment, Comerford said:

"I look forward to this exciting new opportunity as CEO of the Damovo Group. Over the last few years the company has successfully transformed, securing major multi-year managed services contracts across the globe.

"We will continue to build on this success, supporting our customers with innovative technology solutions and services that drive value through the connection of people, processes and systems."

Eli Global acquired Damovo via an affiliate from previous investors Oakley Capital Private Equity and Matthew Riley, the founder of €811m-turnover VAR Daisy.
