After boarding school in Yorkshire, a degree in History and Drama and a number of different sales roles, Mark embarked upon a career in Telecoms in 1997 when he joined Telewest (now Virgin Media).  After nine years in the industry which also included three years at BT Business Solutions, Mark decided to leave Account Management and begin a career in IT Recruitment, joining DCL in 2006 where he now heads their Telecoms practice.

Mark believes that DCL’s culture sets it apart from its competitors in the recruitment marketplace, “Our clients’ perception of DCL is very good; they appreciate our industry knowledge, our reliability and our efficiency and they know from the outset who they are going to deal with and how we are going to operate.”  Mark also believes that DCL’s culture has been key in keeping him and the rest of the team motivated, “We’re encouraged to make decisions and be responsible for our own areas; we operate a relatively small tight cohesive team, we get on well and we fight for each other.”
