Are You Working Smart With Your Telecommunications Provider?

Posted by Admin | February 14, 2017 | Telecoms

AS the saying goes, change can be as good as a rest. But sometimes this isn’t always the case. For example, do you keep track of the changes made by your network provider?

If you are a customer of BT Business you may be aware that there will be a 6 per cent price increase from March 1, making it a 12 per cent increase in the space of one year?

But it’s not all bad news if you are a BT Business customer, as you do have the opportunity to leave your contract without penalty, but you will need to move quickly to be able to do this.

Telecommunications services are an essential part of every business, with 83 per cent of small and medium sized organisations agreeing that they would not be able to achieve their goals without them. In saying this, 34 per cent of businesses admit they don’t have the confidence to identify products and services that could benefit their organisation.

Businesses currently considering changing their telecommunications supplier should make sure they do their homework to find the best deal to suit their requirements and our figures show that companies can save as much as 40 per cent on their current set-up.

A good starting point is to speak to a local provider that offers a highly reliable service with a solid support structure and a comprehensive product offering.

Customer service should be a big factor in your decision and don’t be afraid to ask that they explain the steps they will take to provide your business with the best possible communications experience. When you have a question or need a repair, there is no substitute for experienced customer service.

Find out what range of products are available and how they can help your business. Your provider should be an expert in its field and should be able to recommend products and new technology to benefit your business.

Your telecommunications provider should assist in growing your business and help make it more efficient. Unfortunately for some businesses, they find that they didn’t ask enough questions about reliability until they have an outage and the resolution is sub-par.

While all telecommunications providers may have the occasional outage due to weather or unforeseen circumstances, the key is in the ability to repair the service while minimising the impact on your business.

Flexibility and scalability are also important. Your telecommunications should grow with your business. You should be able to upgrade, add services or select new product options as and when you need to.

Make sure you are getting the most out of your business contract. But remember, cheapest is not necessarily always the best option when there are so many services available to take into consideration.

So do your homework, speak to the experts even visit their operational centre and start to reap the benefits a tailored telecommunications can provide to your business
