Apprentice Recruitment Resourcer

DCL Search and Selection have been established for over 21 years and specialise in Search and Selection Recruitment within the IT industry. The sectors we focus on are IT Security, Unified Communication and the Telecoms market.

The key quality needed to be a successful recruiter is strong communications skill both verbal and written, The majority of our day is spent on the phone, so confident phone manner and ability to be able to “get your message across” is essential.

You will spend your time on the phone talking to candidates and qualifying their skills.

You will also need strong written skills, to enable you to communicate with both clients and candidate by email. IT Literate is also essential.

It is important that the employee has a minimum of a C grade in English and Maths GCSE. Or equivalent.

Duties will include:
– Supporting Recruitment Consultants day to day
– Creating / Posting job adverts
– Managing applications
– Learning how to identify a potential candidate when resourcing
– Learning and implementing sourcing strategies
– Headhunting candidates that have been identified
– Researching
– Assisting the recruiters with administrative tasks
– Using the telephone to contact and approach candidates

DCL ideally need someone who is confident, enthusiastic and willing to learn. A team player is also important as you will become part of the DCL team, and we make sure that everyone contributes the same amount. Target driven is also highly important, as we like our employees to set goals each morning of what they are going to achieve each day.

They need to show tenacity and that they won’t give up when things become difficult.

Desired skills:
– IT Literate
– Excellent Communication Skills (both written and verbal)
– Social Media Savvy
– Attention to Detail
– Knowledge of Microsoft

Qualifications required
A minimum of 5 GCSE’s Grad A*-C or equivalent including English and Maths.

Future prospects
A full time position at the end of the apprenticeship and the chance to become a fully trained 360 degree recruiter working with both clients and candidates.

Things to consider
– There will be a lot of time spent both on the phone and computer throughout the day, and the role will predominantly be office based.
– This role is 90% phone based.

Training provider:
– Level 2 Apprenticeship in Recruitment Resourcing
– Level 1 Functional Skills in English and Maths if required.
– We will also offer in house training on the skills need to approach candidates, helping to develop communication skills.

The training provider has achieved a sector success rate of 79% for this type of apprenticeship training.
